Available history Available buy and sell activity can extend back to the account opening date. Updates Binance makes holdings and balances available in real time; Wealthfolio refreshes once a day or whenever you choose Sync now. Transaction activity updates daily and is delayed by one day. Sync now retrieves the activity currently available. ## How to connect Binance Connection method: Use a read-only Binance API key. Follow the steps below to add the account. 1. Choose Binance in Wealthfolio Connect and open SnapTrade's secure connection window. 2. In Binance API Management, create a system-generated API key and give it a recognizable label. 3. Use read-only permissions for portfolio tracking. Leave trading and withdrawal permissions disabled. 4. Enter the API key and secret key in SnapTrade's secure connection window, then return to Wealthfolio when the connection finishes. It cannot place trades or move money. ### Your sign-in Your Binance API key is provided to SnapTrade, not Wealthfolio. SnapTrade encrypts the key it stores to keep the connection working. ### Your Wealthfolio data Supported account data is passed to Wealthfolio on your device. Wealthfolio does not persistently store your holdings, balances, or activities on its servers. ## Good to know about this connection - Cost basis is not included with holdings returned through the Binance connection. Wealthfolio can calculate cost basis from imported transaction history, or you can enter it manually. - Binance sub-accounts are not supported through this connection. - The activity feed includes buys and sells, but not deposits, withdrawals, rewards, or other movements. Import or enter missing activity when you need a complete ledger. If activity history is limited, you can still use Wealthfolio's [Holding Snapshots mode](https://wealthfolio.app/docs/concepts/tracking-modes/) to follow positions, cash, allocation, and net worth. Complete Transactions supports deeper activity-based analysis when sufficient history is available. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can I connect Binance sub-accounts? No. This connection supports eligible spot accounts, but Binance sub-accounts are not included. ### Does the API key need trading permission? No. Use read-only permissions for Wealthfolio. SnapTrade's additional setup steps for trading are not needed for this portfolio connection. ### Why is cost basis missing from my Binance holdings? The connection does not include cost basis with holdings. Complete purchase and transfer records can help Wealthfolio calculate it; otherwise, enter the missing values yourself. ### How do I stop access to my Binance data? Disconnect from Settings → Connected Accounts in Wealthfolio and revoke the API key in Binance.
